The beadwork on this barrette was woven on a loom and affixed to a strip of leather. The loomed portion, in black and metallic silver 11/0 seed beads, looked naked, so I added some of Virginia Blakelock's kinky fringe in cranberry 11/0 seed beads, with silver beads on the ends. The earrings, made to coordinate, are just long strands of kinky fringe with loops on the top. My mom calls them my "fractal earrings".
