As a result of much experimentation, these starfish were constructed with a weird amalgam of circular peyote stitch and square stitch. (I will publish directions if I ever figure out how to write them.) The underside, worked in white seed beads and not visible in this picture, adds dimensionality. Made with 11/0 seed beads, they are about 3/4" across.
I made these earrings to coordinate with my Jellyfish Neckpiece.
